Located in the Riviera Nayarit, about an hour from the Puerto Vallarta InternationalAirport, the One & Only Resort in Mandarina, Mexico is a tranquil respite full of natural wonders. Devin had the pleasure of escaping the busy-ness ofAtlanta and spending her vacation here a few weeks ago.
The resort is nestled within a tropical, coastal rainforest, surrounded by whites and beaches, twin mountain peaks, and lush scenery. The accommodations were second-to-none, with gorgeous treehouses and villas featuring cantilevered plunge pools, and visitors could walk most of the property to take in the scenery.
While there, Devin enjoyed a horseback ride on the beach.
“I remember audibly saying ‘Wow!’ when we pulled up to the polo field and equestrian center,” she said. “It was awe-inspiring.”
One& Only hosts high-profile chefs-in-residency who create amazing meals for the guests. Devin was thrilled to meet her chef for the week! She also visited the resort spa, situated beneath a canopy of towering Higuera trees, which offered chemical-free Tata Harper products.
“It truly was one of the most interesting and gorgeous places I’ve ever visited,” said Devin. “Trips like this give me ideas for new designs and inspire me to create even more beautiful spaces for my clients.”
